Being Alone Will Make You Realize, When It's Over, All In Love Is Fair...

My first wife returns to the limelight with her first single off, The Elements of Freedom; which is releasing December 1st...

Alicia Keys - "Doesn't Mean Anything" Music Video

Honestly. My morning was messed. I seriously thought I was put in a situation that I wasn't really in. I seriously thought I lost a lot in an instant and everything I had was slipping through my fingers. Talk about fragile right.

I admit I'm not in the healthiest of states. Sleep-deprivation-wise, friendship-wise and relationship-wise. There's only so much you can control with your own power. I haate feeling helpless. So that's why if any ship goes down, I should stand up to the sinking until I'm hair-line deep. Because no matter how bad things are, in reality, there's always room for things to be worse.

Cherish the good things you have. If they're gone, you want them back. I felt kinda lost/confused and damn, it sucked. I realized I'm too preoccupied with my own sh!t to deal with anything outside of me--selfish I know. I kept thinking;
how do you cope when you don't have the time to play mender? I was pretty rattled, heart-broken even; when really I didn't have to be. It's like playing 'what-if' without eliminating the fantasy. Pretty whack. This is what went through my head during class; so it's appropriate that this video dropped today I guess.

I'm out like contentment after realizing you're losing it...

'The One Day Of The Year, Where We Gather Together And Give Slaps'...

Never posted from my life in a while. My Thanksgiving weekend was good overall despite my pile of homework. The week immediately after the holiday break consists of a quiz, a midterm and an online assignment; bearing in mind that the following week I have 2 assignments and a midterm as well.

Friday: Played ball for the first time in a long time. I just don't have the leisure time anymore. It was good except for my congestion making it difficult to breathe at times and my obligatory knee resting. After I played I went to Ez's birthday party. I just chilled, drank, ate and played around with his drum kit, lol.

Saturday:
I studied all day. Spontaneuously left my books to go watch a movie with Nadine. Saw Couples' Retreat. It was aaalright. The plot was a tad lame, but it was pretty damn funny. After that I went to Shawn's for a little to chill with the fam (shawn, niko, p rosey). I haven't seen them in agessssss cause of school--damn. Just chilled outside and then went in and watched an old epi of Entourage.

Sunday: Studied and then went to church in the afternoon. It was the Barangay Sang Birhen fiest that my tita hosts every year and SJF. It was fun as always. It was also my cousion AJ's bday so we went back to their house after. Just chilled, played Apples to Apples (I won obv cause im loud and abnoxious lol), played Scribblenauts, ate leftovers/cake. Ended up sleeping over and played 2K10 until 4am!!! haha! That was messed.

Monday: Woke up. Did some homework. Waited for the fam to come and had Thanksgiving Lunch lol. After that, studied some more until I finished my homework triumphantly! Then just relaxed and enjoyed the dayyy. Ate so0o much fooood, watched random videos with my cousins, played more Scribblenauts, napped.

Then eventually went home; caught HIMYM and studied until 1am for my quiz I just had. I wish I had the video montage one, but yeah here's Marshall's song after the 'best' double date of his life, lol...

HIMYM: Marshall - "It Was The Best Night Ever"

Overall it was a good Thanksgiving Weekend. I enjoyed it. Now it's go time. Playoff beard is slowly showing face =/ as scruff oct continues.

I'm out like conservative eating during Thanksgiving...

BONUS: Another Marshall Eriksen song for Slapsgiving (not quite the American Thanksgiving yet, same difference)

I'm The Only One And Don't Nobody Else Believe It, Then Keep It A Secret And Watch Me Achieve It...

It's only fitting that this video drops while I'm killing time at school. My school time anthem...

Drake - "Successful" [Feat. Trey Songz]

I'm telling you, it's like this era's Best of Both Worlds. The track is off of Trey Songz's 3rd LP Ready, which is dropping tomorrow. I've been spinning it for the past weeks [pause] and I love it; and will support.

Right now I'm at school running errands. Gotta get mentally ready for this stuff come next week--I have to kill it this year. I can honestly say I'm scared but I must stay motivated. Family pride, starting my life, massive student debt etc. That's what is driving me to do this school thing properly...

I can't eff around anymore and I have to concentrate on what I'm doing. I read a sentence on something at Chapters; something along the lines of:
"Instead of trying to find yourself, try losing yourself in the moment..."

I adopted it as my new approach to school because I tend to get so caught up in the future that I forget to pay attention to what's happening right now. I overlook what's going on in the present and don't give 100% effort. That's one of my biggest faults--I just gotta apply myself. Let's go.

I'm out like summer vacay next week...

Anthony vs. GoTransit...

Usually I dig deep, and pull out a blog. But I honestly can't right now. I'm HELLA bored right now at school. So I guess I'll create my most boring blog to date and I'll talk about my morning a la first-person narrative because all this Engineering stuff has me missing English to a point where I'm considering English as an elective, ew. Maybe this will satisfy my yearning for English...

[...]

I woke up early this morning and--as a premeditated act--I went to downtown Toronto to my UofT campus (where I currently am). The reason for this trip is because the flood gates for elective registration for my program open tomorrow morning. I had some inquiries and what not to get out of the way before I made elective decisions...

Due to family bickering, I do not have access to a car, but I was lucky enough to get a ride to the GoTrain station this morning. As I boarded the train, I noticed a couple police officers aboard the train. I immediately checked my pocket for my unpunched ticket and I glanced out the window. I then gave up any attempts of running out of the train and back up the stairs to punch my ticket. So I painfully took my seat knowing they would check tickets some time during the ride and I would get a fine that I cannot afford. All that went through my head was that I'm screwed because I already have one warning from last summer. The time I forgot to punch my 10-ride on my way downtown for a concert...

Now in my seat, I spent the whole time giving the illusion that I was sleeping while I contemplated what I would say to the officer that would approach me. As the officer walked up to my seating area repeating the words 'we're checking tickets', I pretended to slowly gain attentiveness as if I was just interrupted from a good nap...

After the woman officer saw me, she demanded to see my ticket. I took my time and eventually pulled out my ticket
after checking two pockets without success; although I already knew where it was. In my hand was the double-sided 2-ride ticket. It was very fresh and it was indeed unpunched...

As I looked a the ticket, I gave an expression of confusion and pretended to read the ticket and said 'I didn't punch it, I thought I got a day pass because they were the same price'. She looked and me with a little empathy and told me to just punch the ticket when I get off the train. I was overcame with a little relief...

Then she said, 'as procedure, I need some ID to check if this has happened before'. In a bit of defeat I handed her my driver's license and confessed to my past warning before she could speak into her walkie-talkie...

Over some interference, the voice of the device said, in code, that I got a warning in May of 2008 for not punching my ticket. Had it been August 2008 I would've received a fine of $110-$500. Which is a serious economic blow to a second year student...

In desperation, I continued with my not-very-thought-out excuse, 'I usually get 10-rides and monthlys, so I'm unfamiliar with the system of 2-rides and day passes'...

With curiosity the lady officer said ,'well you must be familiar with the system if you know the difference between a day pass and a 2-ride.' [damn you!] 'Next time, know what you are asking for at the ticket booth' [I did know I wanted a 2-ride] 'I'm going to be nice again and write you your second warning' [you bastard]... efffff emmmm elllll...

I'm out like my clean GoTransit record...

Battle-Scarred Shogun, Explosion When My Pen Hits, Tremendous...

Yesterday was a pretty good day til near the end of my night I must say. Life is effing annoying sometimes. Sadly, I went into my exam very unprepared and did what was expected and kinda bombed it =S I went in with a 70 though, I hope it'll stick. *crosses fingers to pass the last course of first year*. Now I can just hope and yet again pray for a miracle; anyways...

I have no effing sense of direction too far south; simply because I don't go down there for anything. So obv I got completely mind fcucked. The irony is that when we were heading down I was listing all the things wrong with my car and bashing it's 'drive-ability'. Saying, 'I don't think anyone would wanna drive my car'. And now most likely, no one can...

Factors?
Honestly I lost control. Didn't Couldn't see what was ahead, missed signs, and probably didn't slow down enough (not that i was even speeding). Slick road, ridiculous defog system, bald tires, terrible breaks; all contributed to it.

Prevention? The only 'DANGER' sign illuminated by my headlights was far away and not relevant to the road. So it threw my off looking at that sign. Through my semi-fogged windshield I tried to find the sharp turn that was indicated up ahead, and ironically, it found me.

Damage? Wheel bashed into framework of car. So close that there's no allowance for movement of the wheel. Undriveable.

Plus side? Honestly, there's no plus to this. Other then the cliche 'no one got hurt'. No one's suppose to get hurt, I don't get into accidents =S, I'm not a careless driver. So that's bullsh!t and unfortunate that this happened =( I see no plus right now.

Aftermath? No car for a while.

Afterthoughts? Oh man, I'm like mad defeated right now. I'm kinda depressed that this is how I kick off summer 09. I'm trying not to dwell, but honestly, the replay button is worn out in my head. I'm in this weird hole, like, I'm haating life right now.

I'm out like me in a drivers seat for a while...

Space May Be The Final Frontier, But It's Made In A Hollywood Basement...

Just checked my winter session grades. Your boy passed by one percent! That's how first year's suppose to be isn't it...

Today I went to class. Played pick-up at Hart House. Checked if my final mark was up 50-million times. Trecked to see Nadine. Met her at Forever XXI. Went to Rainbow Cinemas. Ate street meat along the way. Got ketchup on my NS Trinity's =*/. Watched Star Trek the second time for 4 bucks. Drank a passion tea lemonde. Got word via txt that calc marks were up. Went to the library. Checked. Passed. Did a dance in my head. Pinched myself a bit. Prayed and thanked God a bit. Sent a mass txt. That brings me here.

So yeah I am relieved. But it's not over. Got one more course to do in the super fast-passed summer session, womp womp. Honestly, I made it this far I can't afford to slack!

Anyways, Star Trek was still good the second time around. Still laughed at parts. Realized the movie is all killer and no filler. What I mean by that is there are no useless scenes. Every scene has a purpose. Every scene contributes to the plot. Still ill.

But yeah, I am RElaxed and RElieved, man oh man. Speaking of relaxed; only a few other things in life get me as laid back as feeding my ears with some Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Here's The Zephyr Song live. This one got me through some Cranium game boards. This song is super chillin, and what I'll probably listen to when doing my homework right now. It's off the album By The Way released in 2002...

Red Hot CHili Peppers - "The Zephyr Song"

And whenever I think of Star Trek I think of this next track. It's off RHCP's 1999 album of the same name, Californication...

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Californication"

Not the best video inthe world lol. Whatever it's when 3D was new and cool. An I'll leave you with my fave. This one's not on any album. It was recorded in 1991 during the recording of Blood Sugar Sex Magik and released in 1993 on the Coneheads OST lol...

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Soul to Squeeze"

This song resembles what I felt like for the majority of the school year. I was like a tad depressed and discouraged and I looked toward loved ones to hold me down. And look where I am now! I actually did it. I didn't ride that emotional roller coaster for nothing. Thank God.

I'm out like myself from academic slaughtering [for now]...

Tricks Keep Searching For The Glass Slipper...

This morning was jokes. A couple weeks ago I asked my mom to hide easter eggs!! lol. She bought Caramilk eggs and Cadbury Creme Eggs, so sweet. But honestly, it's not Easter without them. Another classic video added to the home video library? lol...

As good and gravy as my day is, I'm still bummed a bit. I feel so helpless and powerless over some things still, it's a real
downer. Life is life, some things are unfortunate period and you can't control them, I don't know what to do?...

To kill a bit of time I'm watching Episode 1 of Pacquiao Hatton 24/7, which airs tonight in Canada...

Right now I'm bout to head out to Kingsley for lunch when the fam stops loafting. We did the church thing last night, so yeah. This morning I finished my portfolio! boom boom. Just gotta edit and organize. Still gotta study for my exam Tues and hit the calc books harder. This is not a game.

Let's bring it back. To a time as an awkward kid crossing over into teen-hood and discovering girls, relationships and courtship, lol. Don't know, this song just popped into my head this morning, grade 8,
let's go!...

Ghostface Killah - Love Stories [Feat. Othorized F.A.M. & Ellie]

This song was actually released on
Othorized F.A.M.'s album back in the day, but Ghost re-released it on his Hidden Darts: Special Edition album in 2007, post-Fishscale/More Fish.

I'm out like chocolate from it's wrapper on Easter...

I Keep Fallen, But Never Falling Six Feet Deep...

Here I am again, nothing new with that--I think I blog too much. Anyways, a big whatever to life. Life's weird, whatever. I know I let people down whatever I don't mean to. I can't help but feel bad and responsible, whatever. I know things are uncontrollable, whatever. I know I'm boring and a waste of time sometimes? whatever...

Today I basically worked on my portfolio. Wasn't too productive, meh. My mom saw my lack of productivity and swampped-ness, so she said I can go late to church. It was the Easter Vigil tonight. Wowsers, it was a 3-and-a-half hour mass...

But anyways, this is my turning point, I feel it. I feel this drive and I wanna ride on it as long as I can. Things are different from now on. I say this a million times. I make a million promises to myself. But this time I feel a tad more driven. No more bullsh!t and lagging. I'm gonna do things with a purpose...

Maybe it was the homily that hit me. It basically said, if you wanna get something done, it won't get done unless you move. Just do it! Just get up, go forward and do it. And I thought to myself, it makes sense, there's seriously no other way. Simple. The only way I do get things done is when I force myself to just do it when I'm backed into a corner...

I have to teach myself to just do it up without stakes. Just because I don't feel pressure or urgency doesn't mean I can't be motivated. I just have to find a way to just get up and go. I just have to push myself. Challenge myself. That's what I lack lately in life. I'm frggn slack at EVERYTHING. I let it all come to me and I don't lift a finger, kinda thing. I have to be more active--I have to move...

I don't wanna be stagnant. I WANNA BE DRIVEN. I wanna feel like I'm always doing things for a purpose--I used to be like that. I never used to be this 'go-with-the-flow'. I always had a decent head and a solid drive. Ever since this university thing, it's thrown my game off a bit =s...

Bottom line, I'm gonna go get it.

The God Left Lessons On My Dresser...

I am watching the last episode of ER. I do not watch this show; within these many years of it's history on air, there was probably a point where I actually did. The TV is just on NBC right now because I usually watch The Office today.
__________

Right now
I'm slacking and no lie, I'm discouraged with everything. I feel like I have no time for anything =(. I have things I want/need to do in my head, but it never pulls through accordingly. I always fall short of time. I need to simplify my life!

Basically, I'm stressed because of my gigantic to-do list. But it's my own fault that this list is so backed-up. I know that everything on my plate right now, was harvested, prepared, cooked up and placed on that plate by me. I just need to simplify it and deal with it...

Every problem that is causing me stress now is a result of my previous lack of effort. I'm scrabbling in school because I decided not to put effort right away at that moment. For example, I'm stressing over teaching myself things; this is a result of me not attending classes consistently. I'm stressing over organizing my books; this is a result of me not placing things where they should be and being lazy at the time...

Lack of effort is the cause of my stress and complications. The irony of everything is that simplicity is all about more effort. If I put more effort in things beforehand, my life would be more simple right now. Also, if I pick it up and put the effort in now, I am working towards simplifying my future.

Not even aware there was a vid, obviously before my time...

Can it be that it was all so simple then..."(c)wu

He Squints, He Thinks, He Starts To Sigh...

ATTENTION: THIS IS MY LAST POST FOR BLOGSPOT, I'M DONE WITH BLOGGING ALL TOGETHER--I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO TALK ABOUT!!! SO PEACE BLOGSPOT!

...
April Fools! Lame, I know lol =/ I'm tired and I had a long day to say the least..
______________________

I got home just now from playing ball at UTM. The gym closed at 11pm. Left there by 11pm and just got home at 12am-sih. Why!?
Because my car wouldn't start againn
. %@&*&*#@. I was doing everything I possibly could. I must've pumped the clutch and played with the gears in like every variation possible! (eff em ell). Ah wells, I got it started though. I was literally 2 seconds away from tapping out and calling my dad to call CAA. This happened SO many times before where the car had to be towed. So therefore, it was nothing short of a miracle...

Anyways. Basically I took it in that pride ain't sh!t. I am a very stubborn and passionate person--sometimes I project that stubbornness in the wrong situations. When I argue it's always for one of two reasons; one: "because I'm reasoning things out in an 'argumentive' mannor" and two: "because I know I'm right when I'm told I'm wrong". Apparantly, stubborness + pride = arrogance? That's what I've been told. TI guess that's what it comes across as, so I can see how that can happen. Basically when I fight for things, and I know I'm right, it's a wrap because I won't rest until my point is across and the other person knows I'm right, that's my stubborness =S...

I learned that,
none of that matters. Being right and everyone knowing you're right doesn't matter. Even when you absolutely know in your heart you're right, you have to learn to be content with just knowing to yourself, that's it. You don't have to justify your reasoning to anyone else but your own self. You need to have a level of humility with things and not jump on these opportunities of pride. Pride is nothing, it means nothing. At the end of the day, it does nothing for you but boost your ego? It doesn't help you progress, or learn. It holds you back and restrains you from growing up. Pride means nothing to the bigger picture. If bettering the situation means being humble, then step on that pride and suck it up. At the end of the day it's all about the bigger picture; it's not about that specific point in time and not about achieving the temporary and hallow satisfaction of being right...
