Coming Back, Humming His Hymns A Little Altered...

So there is officially a website up for the we are not losers, we are LASERS movement. It steams from the release of Lasers in December, which is Lupe Fiasco's 3rd studio album. He nixed the whole LUPE.N.D. concept and developed this one...

He made it a positive movement. He even has a 'manifesto' revolving around dismissing the title of 'losers' and establishing a more positive mind-state of being lasers; a more positive title that promotes a more affirmative lifestyle...
Lasers are the opposite of losers. Lasers are shining beams of light that burn through the darkness of ignorance. Lasers shed light on injustice and inequality. Losers stand by and let things happen. Lasers act and shape their own destinies. Lasers find meaning and direction in the mysteries all around them. Lasers stand for love and compassion. Lasers stand for peace. Lasers stand for progression. Lasers are revolutionary.
Lasers Are The Future.
As for the manifesto? I'm cool with it, it has a direction. I look at it as not something intended to be followed; nor as Lupe trying to be a preacher. I see it as opinion on a direction to live an ideal life. So I'm cool with it...

Lupe Fiasco - The "LASERS" Manifesto

This first single, Shining Down off Lasers is hitting iTunes and wherever on July 7th. The current version out is the unmastered/unfinished verison. It features FNF's Matthew Santos...

Your Attention Put Back On The Flow Like The Department Of Water...

So I haven't been wandering the web for a while due to this internet suspension business. One of my favourite, if not my favourite artist, Lupe Fiasco is on route to release his 3rd album this year. It was originally supposed to be [a 3-disc finale] called LupE.N.D. but it is now renamed to We Are Lasers as I re-tweet:
RT @wearelasers We Are Lasers…comes from some repressed highschool outcast shit…blended amidst And He Gets The Girl ambitions
The first single from Lasers is called Shining Down featuring FNF artist Matthew Santos. Can't frggn waait! Here's some audio. Warning: the audio is capitol H, horrible quality, you've been warned...

Lupe Fiasco - "Shining Down" [Low Quality]

Speaking of Santos. I've been waiting for the Born To Do audio for a good while. But ah wells, here's Matthew Santos performing his apparent single 'Born To Do' on a Chicago morning show, as well as, an interview prior to hitting the stage...

Matthew Santos - "Born to Do", on Chicago's WGN Morning News Show

Pretty ill; his voice is pretty unique. This happened on April 24th and still no audio on the net =S. Maybe he didn't hop into the studio yet, but I do wanna hear it 'on wax'.

I'm out like the LupEND title and concept...

I Feel Like I'm Nowhere...

I was doing calcalcalc, just now and I saw on Much News that Justin Timberlake together with Lupe Fiasco and Star Trak's Kenna are set to climb Mt. Killimanjaro? I'm pretty sure it's is the highest peak in Africa? woah. The trio will do the climb some time in the fall and it's to raise awareness for the worldwide water crisis...

You can read this article from
Spin for more about how it came about.

That's not first I hear of efforts to help with the worldwide water crisis. Last year,
Jay-Z won a 'Global Leadership Award' for his efforts to bring clean water to Africa. It was awarded to him by the United Nations for his Water For Life campaign.

Here's some music from 2 of the 3 mountain-climbers. it's the remix for Say Goodbye To Love...

Kenna - "Say Goodbye To Love" [Feat. Lupe Fiasco]

The track's a remix of Kenna's first single off his 2007 album, Make Sure They See My Face.

'It All Starts In The Eyes..20% Angel, 80% Devil'...

Right now I just got home from a long day. Did some of my portfolio // then went to Good Friday mass // then ate dinner at Pizza Hut with the fams // then finally used my AMC vouchers to catch Fast & Furious with the girlfriend =) // then came home for a bit to meet my cousins that just came from the Phils // then dropped Nadine off and tried to install Microsoft Office on her computer. Wowsers long day like snarp (c)cappa...

So yeah I finally saw Fast & Furious, I enjoyed it. There was a good plot and it was sick seeing '5 years after' The Fast and The Furious, which ends with Brian (Paul Walker) letting the heavily wanted Dominic (Vin Diesil) free to go.

A lot of plot twists kept me into it. But the acting was still bad, real bad, Michael Jackson (c)kanye, lol.
I liked it though--easily my fave of it's 3 predecessors...

TF&TF was alriight, had a decent storyline for the most part, decent movie from what I remember. 2F2F was alriight, didn't enjoy it too much. And Tokyo Drift..had a dope soundtrack? lol.

And damn, I just saw 'Game-In-An-Hour' and Caron Butler just gave it to Shawn Marion and the Raptors at the buzzer!? Wow.

So yeah
, I realized I don't have any Lupe on this blog? So here's some Wasulu...

Lupe Fiasco - "Superstar" [Acoustic] [Feat. Matthew Santos]

This is my fave vid of Lupe. It's an acoustic recording of
Superstar which is off The Cool. He's on-point with the arrangement and the suUUuuu, lol.

I'm out like nos when the valve is turned...
