Last week was a week of tragedy--for me anyways, well, in regards to sports anyways. Rafael Nadal lost his first ever match at the French Open. Also, the top team in the L, the Clevland Cavaliers got knocked off in 6 by the Orlando Magic. This define upset...
On Sunday May 31, 2009 #1 seeded Rafael Nadal lost to #23 seed Rubin Soderling. Who?. This guy came out of no where, I'm so mad. He didn't just win, he gave Nadal quite the wake-up. Nadal was the clear favourite and he's my favourite tennis player, might I add. He just works hard every match. But Soderling (who?) was too much.
Nadal is the #1-ranked tennis player in the world. Prior to the match Nadal was undefeated at the French Open, which is a major! He won the major 4 straight years in a row, being the 2nd only to do so in history. Nadal never even gave up a set yet, let alone 3 for the match. This defines upset...
Soderling backed-up the upset by winning his next two matches to earn a spot in the finals! He beat Del Porto in the quarters and Gonzalez in the semi's respectively. He will face Roger Federer in the final...
I want Roger to win. One: because he one of the best players to EVER pick up a racket. Two: because he is yet to win a French Open championship in his amazing career. Three: because I despise Soderling now and I wanna see him fall, lol. Four: because this will be his 14th Grand Slam win tying Pete Sampras for the most all-time!
Federer reached the finals for the last 4 years and fell to Nadal every time--now that Nadal is out, this is his chance.
Another big upset is when the Cavs got eliminated by the Orlando Magic. Hopes of a Lebron and Kobe faceoff are gone. Slam mag hype is shot. Puppet commercials are shot--well the Kobe and Lebron one's anyways. Here's a funny one with just Bron Bron...
Nike MVPuppets: "Lil Dez & LeBron Home Alone"
Dwight Howard and the Magic were just too much. They shut Lebron tha-fcuk down. Honestly LBJ is too much of a damn hog. He's all athletics which pisses me off and needs to get a damn skill-set together, geez...
The Cavs held the best record in the league with 66 wins. They only lost twice at home! Orlando managed to take one and almost two at the Q--thanks to heroics by Lebron they would've got swept. They have both; the Most Valuable Player and the Coach of the Year. This defines upset...
Way to take care of business Orlando. Have a thoughtful off-season Lebron. Go Lakeshow.
I'm out like Rafa and the Cavs respectively...
