'Not To Call You A Coward, But Cowards Do Survive'...

So I'm back on this blogging thing. Why? because I'm studying for a final and I do anything and everything to not study. Let's get to it.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It was oookay. Defintely a summer blockbuster mainstream-wise. But for me, content was scarce.

The special effects are the obvious plus. However, my first thought was that the script was kinda lacking IMO. Apparently the same writers from Star Trek!? Woah, not even in the same stratosphere! The storyline was nothing special, sadly. The dialogue was a bit forced to me...

Some humour felt painted-on, to achieve a feeling of 'a complete movie'. Some things bugged me in regards to the 'reactions-of-characters' and consequences in some scenes. It just didn't make a lot of sense to me at some points. Like why get mad at someone for cheating when it's completely justified? And not even a human? lol dumb.

The acting was alright. Shia is always solid; Megan Fox is another story acting-wise. And, honestly, I don't think she's the 'hottest girl on the planet'. But if she didnt know she was that hot and didnt try as hard to promote that title then hell frggn yeah she'd be up there for, 'hottest girl on the planet'. What happened to the humble Hope & Faith Megan Fox, lol...

But yeah Fox's acting was transparent but made up for it in a ton of slow-motion-Baywatch-esque running, lol. Also, some other actors needed to pick it up as well. Some acting was forced and unnatural? Some scenes were a bit on the awkward side to me =S.

New Autobots, Mudflap and Skids tried too hard to be 'hip' and 'relevent'? They speak in pure slang and were really urban to a point of annoyance. It came across artificial and the voices were kinda white? So I just picture two faux-gangster robots, lol...

It was kinda weird because the appeal of these two characters was kind of childish, but the jokes in the movie were pretty racey.

The movie was suuuper long. Maybe I didnt't take it in because of the hype. Maybe I'll re-watch it--but hell no, not in the theatres, too longg. I might cop the DVD just because it's one of those blockbusters you need in your library.

Another thing I didn't like was [my favourite Decepticon] Starscream and [leader] Megatron were bitched-out. Megatron was the Fallen's bitch and Starscream was Megatron's bitch. What happened to Starscream's 2nd-in-command-so-don't-eff-with-me swag? He's such a wimp in this movie =/.

On the plus side; the special effects didn't disappoint at all. The storyline was deep and elaborate for the most part. And the character development of Sam and even Optimus was evident.

Overall it was a decent movie--I enjoyed it for the most part. Super-hyped but didn't deliver too much. Special effects were incredible though. Bumblebee still owns all.

So i guess I'll leave you with a track from the original soundtrack of the movie...

The Fray - "Never Say Never" AOL Sessions Live

This is off the album entitled The Fray. I'm a big fan of AOL Sessions they're always so intimate.

That's another summer blockbuster down. I made a list of 'top 5 must-see' a couple months ago: #1. Funny People; #2. Half-blood Prince; #3. Revenge of the Fallen; #4. Up; #5. Star Trek. That's 3 down, 2 to go. Also, Inglorious Basterds is up there. Anyways.

I'm out like Sam Witwicky's soul-purpose for living apparently...

Hell No I Went Raw Dawg, Three Strokes...

Gotta love Clipse x KAWS...

And here's Pusha T and Malice's first street single off Til The Casket Drops featuring Kanye West. They're first real single is I'm Good featuring Pharrell...

Clipse - "Kinda Like A Big Deal" [Feat. Kanye West]

A real gritty-ugggh kinda Clipse
video. The album drops September! Can't wait hip-hop's lacking lately. 2009 = TTCD, Thank Me Later, Blueprint 3, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, hip-hop let`s go.

Only Person To Re-Write History Without A Pen, No-I.D. On The Track, Let The Story Begin...

Very nice, very nice. Hov is back [life story through rap]. The Blueprint 3 gets a released date and some info leakage.

Jay-Z was on Hot 97 in New York a last night and leaked D.O.A. (Death of Autotune). Where he addresses the talent level of certain artists who hide behind anything that disguises their lack of talent--i.e. voice-synthesizers. Goodbye. Na na na naa...

Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)

"This sh!t violent, this death of autotune, moment of silence..."(c)jay-z

The Blueprint
is my favourite album period [hence the wallpaper]. A lot of people can't label an album their favourite, but I will defend this album in it's entirety. Everything from vintage
Jigga flow to on-point production to Eminem at his best. This album has it all...

Anyways, The Blueprint 3 is dropping this year on September 11th, 2009 the same day Blueprint [1] was dropped. It's a follow up to the 'back-to-basics' American Gangster album in 2007. That album surprised me man. It came out of nowhere and had the Reasonable Doubt swagger turned on--content wise I mean, he brought feelings and emotion from his drug-dealing days...

Jay is my fave rapper [duurr]. D.O.A. is like the street single much like Kanye's Can't Tell Me Nothing. Just a taste before the main course. His real single is called Off That featuring the bearer-of-the-torch himself Drizzy Drake. As I re-tweet DJ Skee:
RT @djskee D.O.A. is the street track.. Oh..the official OFFICIAL Jay radio single will be called "Off That" and feature DRAKE.. Coming July
Cannot wait at all. First Relapse then Thank Me Later; 2009 is the revival of my excitement in hip-hop.

I'm out like The Blueprint 3 in September 09...

'The Way You Played Today, You're Lucky Somebody Wants Your Autograph'...

[Now questionably] my favourite Blue Jay right-fielder Alex Rios was approached by a kid after a charity event for an autograph and he denied him. Following this, fans with cameras begin to heckle him. Calling him a bum and saying 'you're lucky anyone wants your autograph' lol...

Alex Rios Denies Autograph and Snaps

Earlier that day the Jays lost to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim where he played horrible. He had crucial at-bats but came up short. Rios was 0 for 5 with 5 strikeouts! and got booed by the crowd by night's end...

I feel bad for the kid. And Rios is an idiot for losing his cool. He said 'Who gives a fcuk'. Clearly he did if he snapped like that.

I'm like Alex Rios autographs of the question...

Let's Get Down To Business, I Don't Got No Time To Play Around, What Is This...

Last week was a week of tragedy--for me anyways, well, in regards to sports anyways. Rafael Nadal lost his first ever match at the French Open. Also, the top team in the L, the Clevland Cavaliers got knocked off in 6 by the Orlando Magic. This define upset...

On Sunday May 31, 2009 #1 seeded Rafael Nadal lost to #23 seed Rubin Soderling. Who?. This guy came out of no where, I'm so mad. He didn't just win, he gave Nadal quite the wake-up.
Nadal was the clear favourite and he's my favourite tennis player, might I add. He just works hard every match. But Soderling (who?) was too much.

Nadal is the #1-ranked tennis player in the world. Prior to the match Nadal was undefeated at the French Open, which is a major! He won the major 4 straight years in a row, being the 2nd only to do so in history. Nadal never even gave up a set yet, let alone 3 for the match. This defines upset...

Soderling
backed-up the upset by winning his next two matches to earn a spot in the finals! He beat Del Porto in the quarters and Gonzalez in the semi's respectively. He will face Roger Federer in the final...

I want Roger to win
. One: because he one of the best players to EVER pick up a racket. Two: because he is yet to win a French Open championship in his amazing career. Three: because I despise Soderling now and I wanna see him fall, lol. Four: because this will be his 14th Grand Slam win tying Pete Sampras for the most all-time!

Federer reached the finals for the last 4 years and fell to Nadal every time--now that Nadal is out, this is his chance.

Another big upset is when the Cavs got eliminated by the Orlando Magic. Hopes of a Lebron and Kobe faceoff are gone. Slam mag hype is shot. Puppet commercials are shot--well the Kobe and Lebron one's anyways. Here's a funny one with just Bron Bron...

Nike MVPuppets: "Lil Dez & LeBron Home Alone"

Dwight Howard and the Magic were just too much. They shut Lebron tha-fcuk down. Honestly LBJ is too much of a damn hog. He's all athletics which pisses me off and needs to get a damn skill-set together, geez...

The Cavs held the best record in the league with 66 wins. They only lost twice at home!
Orlando managed to take one and almost two at the Q--thanks to heroics by Lebron they would've got swept. They have both; the Most Valuable Player and the Coach of the Year. This defines upset...

Way to take care of business Orlando. Have a thoughtful off-season Lebron. Go Lakeshow.

I'm out like Rafa and the Cavs respectively...

I Gotta A Notion To Say It Doesn't Feel Right, Got An Answer In Your Story Today...

This is one of my favourite tracks from Only By The Night. The whole damn album is solid...

Kings of Leon - "Notion"

Kings of Leon is a band I really just got into with their latest; OBTD is one of my go-to CD's when I don't know what to listen to.

I'm out like Bill from Kill Bill from this world [R.I.P.]...

Ain't Heard DC Since Sardines Came...

Video's out. Wale says this track embodies the 'party element' of hip-hop--he says that he 'tries to connect with all elements' in his music. Gotta like artists who aren't afraid to explore and expand...

Wale - "Chillin'" [Feat. Lady GaGa]

Uhm, I'm iffy on LG. Her style and bod are 10's, but there's something in her face where she looks ok one second, then not? lol. Regardless she gets ratings for being unique and innovative.

I'm out like Back to the Feature next week...

I Wish I, Could Buy Me A Spaceship And Fly, Past The Sky...

This is my favourite Dropout song, all too fitting right now...

Kanye West - Spaceship [Feat. GLC & Consequence]

So the video is unreleased and went viral via GLC himself, from his blog. This song stuck with me from when I first bought/heard The College Dropout. It's been my fave track off that record since.
---
Right now, I'm at Williams. Life's alright, this song is all too relevant right now. I have a lot on my plate. A midterm tomorrow that I must kill, problems at home,
insecurity with things, the usual stress/pressure/frustration, failure in certain areas, disappointment, annoying errands, chapters and chapters to study--on top of that I gotta time-manage it all. Wish I could get away, I'm waiting on my space ship *blaow*

I'm out like spaceships from planets...

Now Who's The King Of These Rude Ludicrous Lucrative Lyrics...

In the world of videos games this year, in Q3, the makers you Guitar Hero bring you DJ Hero? That's right, the wheels of steel?? or wheel of steel looking at the controller. Mehhh...

Anyways my point is, it was 'launched' in L.A. [trick] yesterday--whatever 'launched' means. And with big 'releases' comes big parties. People like the Wentz's, Kim Kardashian
and DJ AM were in attendence...

Anyways, my real point is; Eminem as well as, Jay-Z hit the stage--together! [woah]. Two of the 'greatest of all-time' rappers performed their own songs and of course Renegade...

Jay-Z - "Renegade" [Feat. Eminem]

One of the greatest hip-hop records EVER! One of the best Eminem verses EVER; I love how they know each others verses--real recognize real. And man, I hope Em
hops on BP3!

I'm out like Jay Leno from the Tonight Show...
