So What We Gon' Have, Dessert Or Disaster...

So right now I'm at school trying to get some stuff done. I have no internet at home, womp womp. Apparently I have a virus yet again!? It's whack because I get my internet suspended a lot because of this problem and these 'viruses'.

I swear Rogers is planting viruses or something because when I do find the virus they speak of it's in old folders!! I mean, wouldn't I catch these virsuses the millon times I scanned before!? I don't know. It seems I get 'new' viruses a lot--they end up in folders I already scanned weeks before, which is whack. I think it's Rogers tracking download numbers and finding ways to suspend me from over-using/downloading illegally--who knows. ef em elll

Last night
I was with Nadine and merked myself with jap food at 168 Sushi. Uggghhh. I didn't eat all day until dinner. I ate so much to a point where I felt immobile--never again that much that fast. But so damn good, until the end lol.

I know I'm late, but this songs been in rotation for a bit...

Keri Hilson - "Knock You Down" [Feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo]

The song is Knock You Down off Keri Hilson's 2009 album, 'In a Perfect World'. It's a pretty dang good song. The video is directed by Chris Robinson. The directing is corny to me at first, but it gets kinda dope. Robinson
always ends up doing something innovative with his videos. The storyline is a love triangle between Keri, Ne-Yo and Kanye West, lol...

I'm out like Kanye from the love triangle...

White People With Soul!?!...

Right now I'm still up, believe it or not. I'm just up trying to better prepare myself for battle mode a.k.a exam season a.k.a. stress city a.k.a crunch time...

Daneil Merriweather
is white guy with soul. The whole concept reminds me of Robin Thicke. Merriweather is pretty ill though in his own right. Similar to Thicke, he is involved with the hip-hop scene, but in contrast, Merriweather leans toward the more indie side of hip-hop--so far that is. He did a couple songs with Wale, which gives him a lot of ratings in my books!--Wale is one of my fave upcomers right now...

Below is a song called Change featuring Wale, which hit the 8 spot on the UK charts. I apologize for the poor-ass quality of the video; all the other vids of this song on YouTube disabled embeding, so I'll just drop this link to a better version of the music video...

Daniel Merriweather - "Change" [Feat. Wale]

I'm pretty big on Adele after I seen her perform live on the tele; she has soul for days. My sis actually told me about this song, and it's been on heavy rotation for a good while since. Here's Water and a Flame by Daniel Merriweather featuring Adele...

I Just Wanna Be, I Just Wanna Be Successful...

So I just now realized that I have a bunch of stuff to do for school; lots of assignments and I need to start exam prepping. Uni life is a bitch it keeps you mad busy. Assignments and tests for days. I need to step things up if I wanna make it to 2nd year! I keep telling myself that to a point where it's a broken record. So therefore, right now, it's up to me and me alone to mean it and carry it out...

Drake - "Successful" [Feat. Trey Songz]

I'm out like my social life through the window...

Waging Wars To Shake The Poet And The Beat...

Right now I just got home from church. Now I have to get on this homework thing...

Kings Of Leon - "Use Somebody"

Kings Of Leon is a wicked band, love the vocals, pretty unique and powerful.
This track is off their 2008 album, 'Only By The Night'. It's their second single off that album and entitled, Use Somebody, which is a follow up of their first single Sex On Fire.

They are an American band that blew up in Europe just recently (i.e.
Australia, Ireland and New Zealand). Apparently they've been landing on charts in the U.K since 2003. Like a lot of people in North America, I've only heard of them now. After four albums, they finally reached success in North America with their latest.

I'm out fire from your sex (lol)...

Kanyeezy and Kim Kardeezy...

This is the first time I'm writing about Complex Magazine. Complex has been my favorite magazine for a good bit, it's basically a fashion magazine ran by business mogul and founder of Ecko the brand, Marc Ecko. It highlights indie fashion and at the same time highlights relevant celebrities and media.

It was originally a bi-monthly mag, but then they started releasing monthly issues this year--thank goodness they stopped though. Each issue has two distinct covers, which divide the magazine in two parts. One side usually features a celebrity-cover and the contents are based on culture and lifestyle. While the other side features a female-cover and the contents are more about fashion.

This year's April/May issue features the always relevant Kanye West covering the culture-oriented side. Miss Kim Kardashian graces the fashion/style-oriented side...

Kanye provides a unique cover, painting himself silver and Ms. Kardashian is just looking smashian lol. One of the features in this issue is an exclusive look at Kanye's Nike releases, the Air Yeezy...

'Ye is the first non-athlete to have a signature shoe with Nike. Much like a lot of Nike shoes, the Air Yeezy will initially be put out in several colourways that will be released weeks apart. These are the three initial colorways [above].

I'm out like Kanye and Kim on shelves in the next couple weeks...

What We Figh-ting For 3 2 1...

This week, whenever I was in fight mode or frustrated, I listened to this song. It's been stuck in my head--so needless to say I've been in an overall frustrated mood lately =S...

I let a lot of things get to me that really shouldn't--I hate fighting over nothing and realizing it after it already slaps you in the face =/. Anyways, give yee a listen...

k-o
s - "4, 3, 2, 1"

This is '4,3,2,1' by k-os; it's his first single off his 4th album entitled, 'Yes!' dropping at the end of the month.

I'm out like upper cases from Kevin Brereton's stage name...

The Mystery Is Solved On Mindless Nostalgia...

The picture above has always had a level of nostalgia to me.
As a young elementary school kid, I remember this childrens book. I had no idea what it was about; I was just familiar with the distinct illustrations and had no idea what is was called until I saw the movie trailer for 'Where The Wild Things Are'...

They made a movie from this book I now know as, 'Where The Wild Things Are', written by Maurice Sendak. It is a 10-sentence-long childrens' book that they were able to create a full-length movie out of. It's about a mischievous boy who gets sent to his room without food and trips the fcuk out, lol. He starts imagining another world where these 'wild things' exist. All while he rocks a wolf suit.

I'm out like the 'wild things' from this tripped-out wolfboy's imagination...

Could It Be, This Misery Will Suffice...

Yesterday at school I had 'Bring Me Your Love' on rotate. It's City and Colour's second album. If you don't know 'City and Colour' is the artist Dallas Green (dallas = city, green = colour, get it!? lol) where he gets to break off and do his own acoustic thing. Green is the lead singer of Alexisonfire (which is a too screamo for me).

Anyways, here's the video for my fave song off the album, Sleeping Sickness. Saying this song is amazing, as an understatement. It features Gordon Downie of The Tragically Hip who brings a ridiculous verse...

City and Colour - "Sleeping Sickness" [Feat. Gordon Downie]

"I've become, the simple souvenier of someone's kill
Like the sea, I'm constantly changing from calm to hil,
Madness fills my heart and soul,
As if the great divide could swallow me whole..."(c)gdown

I'm out like Dallas Green's 3rd album needs to be...

The Lust Cinco...

This morning I missed my train yet again =/, I'm so slack lately. Gotta pick it up and get into exam mode...

Anyways, right now I just read Bleach 251, 'The Lust 5'. I'm not much of an anime head to say the least, I just love this particular manga series...

Last week the antagonist Ichigo snapped into some hallow form after getting rocked by Ulquiorra. Now it's a wrap on everything--after 5+ comic strips of fighting, he finally ends him [below]. After this blow, he ceros [strong energy blasts] him into the ground from close range--which is not antagonist-like...

The cliffhanger they leave you with this time is if Ichigo really killed him that ruthlessly, because afterall, he's the antagonist and should not be blowing off people's heads. Also whether or not his new form is controllable and he stay a destructive beast (a la Spider-Man animated series).

Anyways, I'm out like Ulquorra's life from the series...

D-Hare Is The Man...

My absolute favorite play of the year; the New Jersey Nets' starting point guard Devin Harris hits a half court game-winner (on February 23rd, 2009 in NJ's IZOD Center).

GAME SCENARIO: The visiting Philadelphia 76ers' star guard Andre Iguodala hits free throws which bring the Sixers up by uno (96-95), with 1.8 secs left in the 4th quarter. Then Harris gives it to their hopes, dreams and aspirations, lol. Just an amazing shot to win the game, never seen anything like it--bahnahnahs

I've always been big on D-Hare. Best point guard the Eastern Conference, yep I said it.

I'm out like IZOD Center spectators from their seats...

The Origin Of Inspiration...

So right now I'm in the one of the SF computer labs printing notes and assignments.

Jay-Z - "The City is Mine" [Feat. Blackstreet]

This is one of Jay-Z's bigger singles off 98's 'In My Lifetime, Vol. 1'. It features a Phil Collins sample, I believe. His flow is so raw...

This is the 'inspiration' for my blog name/theme. Verse 2 starts with "
Y'all want to know how I flow just seek and you find// I'm like a brain in the voicebox, I speak my mind"(c)jay. If you don't know, now ya do...

I'm out like
the raptors from playoff contention at this rate...

But Reality Bites And, This Is 'My' Life...

I need to shower and get ready. I was planning to wake up early to organize my books because I can't do homework until they are, but I woke up an hour later then I wanted. Then my mom made me drive her to work the literal minute I woke up, and that killed a bunch of my time. So right now, I have no time to organize myself like I wanted but enough time to blog?lol. Also my clothes smell like garlic because my grandpa is cooking fried rice. I promised myself I wouldn't skip any lectures this week because I missed so many already, but yesterday I slept in and missed 3 frggn lectures and today I'm missing my 9am and 10am lectures because I have to go to court. I'm going to my first hearing at 9am because I got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt the first time in my life, 2 minutes away from my house...and I'm eating cereal for breakfast and it's probably soggy from me taking time to type this. And I gained stress weight, and my posture sucks, lol... eff em ellll

Skateboard P vs. Mickie Ds...

So I'm on a homework break YouTube-ing and I watched this...

Pharrell of N*E*R*D in an airport I'm guessing, trying to get McDonalds in Paris? FAIL, lol. Check out the look of defeat written across his face.. womp womp

I'm out like McDonald's workers from work after being patronized by Pharrel Williams...

'Yeah Totally..Totes McGoates'...

Monday was Shawns bday. Went there after school, ate ice cream cake, pizza and kicked it with Ozymandias. We used Rose's whacko HP webcam to give a 'where-you-at?' to Kalwin; her cam made us upside down and a-mute and confused the sh!t outta Kali, bahaha. Good times

Saw I Love You, Man during the day with the girlfriend =). Hilariouss! movie. It stars Paul Rudd and Jason Segal as the main characters. Also stars Andy Samburg (of SNL) and Rashida Jones (of season 4 of The Office). Go see it!

Rudd plays a real-estate agent who is
getting married. He is a guy who concentrated so much on relationships throughout his life that he had no time to maintain guy-friends and solidify a best-man for his wedding. So before his wedding, he attempts to find and recruit a best friend. He is an awkward and honest character who tries to act cool, when clearly he isn't, lol.

Seeing the movie reminded me of April's epic Vanity Fair cover. In this issue, a crap load of comedy's best actors hop in front of a camera. Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, Jason Segal and Jonah Hill grace the cover [above, left].

The actual photographs in the magazine headline the 'new legends of comedy' recapturing them, as/in iconic figures/moments.

Rogan, Rudd, Segal and Hill re-inact a 2006 VF cover featuring some [lucky] guy and a very naked Keira Knightly and Scarlett Johansson. [below]

Other photos feature;
Jonah Hill as George Washington, Danny McBride as Jack Nicolsen in 'The Shining', Russell Brand as Charlie Chaplin, Will Arnett as Han Solo.

The rest of the photos [I had to google] are; Rogan (as Frida Kahlo), Segal (as Buster Keaton), Rudd (as Young Frankenstein), Amy Pohler (as Bonnie Barker), Bill Hader with Anna Farris and Jason Bateman with Leslie Mann (all as 'The Honeymooners').

Found a gallery of these photos (Click Here)

I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball...

So What's The Scenario!?

"As I combine all the juice from the mind
Heel up, wheel up, bring it back, come rewind!"(c)br

I'm tired of lj for the most part, and video blogging can only fill the void of blogging for so long. So I reverted back to the primitive art from for blogging--typing! I'll still use my YouTube to VBlog and my lj is like in dinosaur mode. I used my lj like a blog more then a 'journal' anyways lol

It's ice breaker time. What's a better ice breaker then a knock knock joke!?!

The KGB will wait for no one! bahaha
